See this? I laughed at a comment that this individual had made and he responded in question to what a sourcer was/is. I responded, and he actually replied:
“Interesting. How do I put my name on that list. I’d like to be, ahem, located
”
Having a touch of personality says a lot for social recruiting/sourcing I feel. I was in an interesting debate today over the right types of messages to be sending out, via Twitter. The discussion was focused around whether or not personal and professional tweets should cross paths or if we should have two separate accounts. I argued that a mix was useful, while the person I was speaking to felt that professionalism was the way to go. Now I’m not posting this as an “I told you so” because I think his point has merit as well and I think that in all fairness, we’re both correct.
But I really just wanted to cite a real life example which occurred within the last hour of this post being put up. Hope fully tomorrow when I receive his resume, things will pan out and I can write follow up success story.
Cheers^^
Twitter… Overkill? Not quite sure what to make of this, but I’m going to share it here anyway. I’ve been meaning to play w/ yahoo pipes for some time, I know it’s got enormous versatility and incredible posibilities, but this is a little extreme. In this post below, it’s demonstrated how you can “hack” the pipes to run an auto-retweeter… Pretty wild stuff. You make the call, I’m just sharing the things people share w/ me. I WILL be doing a whole section on yahoo pipes soon though… and grease monkey too… and a bunch of REALLY SUPER COOL STUFFS! Click here to read on^^
Cheers^^
