See this? I laughed at a comment that this individual had made and he responded in question to what a sourcer was/is. I responded, and he actually replied:
“Interesting. How do I put my name on that list. I’d like to be, ahem, located
”
Having a touch of personality says a lot for social recruiting/sourcing I feel. I was in an interesting debate today over the right types of messages to be sending out, via Twitter. The discussion was focused around whether or not personal and professional tweets should cross paths or if we should have two separate accounts. I argued that a mix was useful, while the person I was speaking to felt that professionalism was the way to go. Now I’m not posting this as an “I told you so” because I think his point has merit as well and I think that in all fairness, we’re both correct.
But I really just wanted to cite a real life example which occurred within the last hour of this post being put up. Hope fully tomorrow when I receive his resume, things will pan out and I can write follow up success story.
Cheers^^
